The cooling system has one tough job. It is designed to regulate the operating temperature of the engine to ensure that it does not get too hot, because if it does the motor could suffer some major damage. The cooling system consists of a radiator, cooling fan, water pump, thermostat and a series of hoses in which coolant, or antifreeze, passes through. If any of these parts begin to have some trouble it could lead to overheating troubles, or worse. Pay attention for these signs it is time for cooling system or radiator repair. Rising Temperature Gauge The temperature gauge on your dashboard monitors the operating temp of the engine. Be sure to watch this gauge; if it starts creeping into the hot zone pull over right away.
